How to Use Touch ID / Face Unlock Feature
If you have an iPhone X or the latest phone, you'll see the FaceID option. These are available in iPhoneX, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. If you have an older iPhone you will get the option of Touch ID or Passcode. This feature will support iOS 8 and above.
-First open the Whatsapp app.
-Now go to the settings option.
-After that you will see several options.
-Tap on an account.
-Select Privacy as you tap on the account.
-Then you tap on 'Security'.
-Then select 'ScreenLock'.
-Once you enable Face ID or Touch ID in your phone,
you will be asked to authenticate finger print or face every time you open WhatsApp. If your phone fails for face or fingerprint recognition you will be asked to enter a 6-digit iPhone Passcode.
The benefit of this new feature will be that Whatsapp will be open with your face visible or fingerprint. In order to use the Fingerprint and Face Unlock feature, iphone users have to update to the App Store from iOS 2.19.21 version.
How To Update WhatsApp
Note* You can easily update WhatsApp from your phone's App Store. Please note that if you receive a message that is not supported by WhatsApp version, you will need to update WhatsApp.
